Community maps a fundraiser for Moosomin Chamber of Commerce

The Moosomin Chamber of Commerce will put together community maps again this year as a fundraiser, chamber members were told Monday.
"We are putting together chamber maps again this year," Ashley Bochek told the chamber meeting.
"We do them every year, we update them every year, and they're just great. They go everywhere, all over town, and we get a lot visitors asking for them.
"We've had a lot of feedback come back from hotels, gas stations, and restaurants saying these maps are great.
"A lot of businesses like them because they can write directions on them or draw out a route on the map if people are wondering where they might need to go, so we know they get used.
"Our student employees will be contacting businesses to find out if they'd like to participate in this again this year.
"The logos on the front are $60 and the ads on the back are $120 and they fill up really quick, since there's only 12 of them."
She said the map project is an important fundraiser for the chamber.
"It's a great fundraiser for the Chamber, and we hope all of you participate," she said.
"Anyone who wants to be part of the chamber map can email world_spectator@sasktel.net to be included.
Summer tourist guide
Bochek added that summer tourist guides are also out for the summer.
"We have just started taking around our summer tourist guides, so these will be all over town and right across the region.
"It's a big tourist guide, and the best part is there are coupons in the back. So tell everyone you know to pick them up, especially for the big weekends like Bulls and Broncs and the August long weekend. They're great. We hear a lot of feedback that people love using the coupons. There's local ones, including new businesses like Trends, and Grace and Gather came in this year with the coupons, so definitely get your hands on them if you are into shopping, and let your staff know to let your customers know about the coupons.
"We'll be taking them around to the different businesses. We print a lot of these and the last couple of years we started including coupons, and since then a lot more of those fly out the doors. Several times over the summer we restock the businesses with them, so it helps, if your staff has a visitor in, to point out there are these coupons in the book, and a lot of useful information.
"So we have the tourist guides out right now, and we're working on the maps as the next project, so let us know if you want to be part of the chamber map."
